Dr. Basudev Tewari has been a practicing doctor in Kolkata. His journey is a story of incredible determination and transformation. At one point in his life, he struggled with being overweight, which affected his health and confidence. But instead of letting it define him, he decided to make
a change. What started as a personal mission soon turned into a life-changing adventure.
Dr. Tewari took a bold and inspiring step – he started working out, curating his own diet plan and changed his lifestyle towards a goal of transformation. To ensure he could guide others effectively, he dedicated himself to learning. He completed multiple certifications in fitness training, diet, nutrition, and lifestyle management. These qualifications not only deepened his knowledge but
also gave him the tools to transform lives, starting with his own.
He decided to increase it to a larger scale. He started transforming the lives by improving fitness and lifestyle modification of many others in his fraternity and close people. Finally Dr. Tewari took a step forward. He wanted to do it on a bigger scale. For that, he decided to start his venture towards building up a premium, yet affordable gym setup with the team he has already gathered around himselfalso gave him the tools to transform lives, starting with his own.
Dr. Tewari’s journey in the fitness industry began with the Kasba Branch of FitNet Studio & Clinic. The gym quickly became a runaway success, paving the way for expansion. Recognizing an opportunity, he acquired another gym, and soon, his presence was felt all over Kolkata and Howrah—either building new fitness centers or revitalizing struggling ones. In the process, he not only helped gym owners turn their businesses profitable but also ensured premium fitness services for clients.
Through relentless hard work and an unwavering commitment to excellence, Dr. Tewari transformed these gyms into a thriving and profitable fitness chain. However, he had an even bigger dream—to make fitness both accessible and inspiring for everyone. Driven by this vision, he expanded FitNet into a network of 20 successful gyms, each one reflecting his passion for health, wellness, and empowerment.
Today, FitNet is more than just a gym chain; it is a symbol of transformation. Dr. Tewari’s personal journey—from being overweight to becoming a fitness expert and role model—stands as a powerful testament to what can be achieved through determination and perseverance.
